During their presence at the Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers, Valerie Oberleithner and Magdalena Chowaniec highlight a sentence taken from their Manifesto: « open the circles of dependency ». In search of ideas and solutions to redefine and build a common future, they act in the local context of the city of Aubervilliers, inviting children from the neighborhood and the city to seek solutions with the artists. With the children, they will confront the Manifesto and embody it in several ways – through dances, songs, drawings, videos, texts and workshops (January 8, 11 and 15). By sharing these practices, the two choreographers try to break the usual creative process, driven by the triangular relationship between curators – artists – audience. Children play a significant role as a driving force here, allowing the alternative relationships expressed in their Manifesto to take shape. On January 17, the public was invited to observe the outcome of this special encounter.
