During a 5 days workshop Valerie Oberleithner und Magdalena Chowaniec have been sharing somatic practices with workshop participants.
Their practice of somatic demonstration focuses on the human body as an experi mental and experiential space capable of re–articulating politics. Remembering the moment of the annexation of Austria to Germany on March 15th 1938, both choreographers and the group pose questions about the current affairs of Austrian’ state and about how to live together in 2018.
The goal of their somatic approach is to create sensing bodies in motion.
The main objective of somatic demonstration on Heldenplatz in Vienna is to invent new bodies actively and continuously working on democracies — to come.
