iChoreography is a performance and dance project initiated by choreographers Valerie Oberleithner and Magdalena Chowaniec. iChoreography works on the subject of body and internet.

In the performance/installation iChoreography, Magdalena Chowaniec and Valerie Oberleithner together with four teenagers from Vienna invite the audience to become part of a journey on which a new WE is formed. Founded around the themes of technology addiction and of Self and We in times of fake news and medial hyper-reality, the show transforms the theater space\venue into a walk-in health resort where strategies for a better future are negotiated.

The two choreographers and four young people between the age of 12 and 17 years have spent months exchanging their feelings and sensations about their ongoing battle with internet addiction. In this way real and semi-real therapeutic approaches have been used to develop various physical and psychological practices that lead to self-empowerment and self-healing. The choreographic process turned into a kind of therapy and gave rise to intimacy, empathy, happiness, loneliness, caring and the future. On the basis of this, they developed an installative therapy clinic in which all the senses come to life and the reality is made new.

iChoreography is part of the project In a search for WE, initiated by Magdalena Chowaniec and Valerie Oberleithner in 2013. The project is based on the same name manifesto of the two artists. This examines interpersonal relationships in the world of performative arts and places them in the context of society and politics.
